On Oct. 21, a Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy took a complaint regarding a theft from a residence in the area of 18,000 block of Apple Road.
Several items, including power tools, a TV, and other items, were stolen from the residence. The homeowner then started searching Facebook Marketplace and found some of the stolen items listed on the social media site for sale.
On Sunday, Nov. 17, the homeowner met with the individual and identified his stolen items. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, along with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, went to the residence and spoke with the homeowner, Patresa Hunter, 55, of Mentone. Hunter was arrested, transported, and booked into the Marshall County Jail on charges of theft and receiving stolen property.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
