Officers with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle speeding 47 mph in a 35-mph zone on Hoham Drive Sunday, September 29 at 3:14 p.m. ET.
The driver was later identified as Ronald Adams, 42, from Buchanan, Michigan. During the traffic stop, police say it was determined that Adams’ license was canceled out of Michigan and suspended prior out of Indiana. It was also determined that the plates on the vehicle were false and fictitious, and the plates that were supposed to be on the vehicle were expired, according to the report.
Adams was taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail where he was booked on preliminary charges of driving while suspended prior and given a court date and bond.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
