Police Pursuit Leads to Arrest

Officers with the Plymouth Police Department tried to stop a motorcycle traveling east on U.S. 30 East of Pioneer Drive Saturday, October 19 that was going 90 mph in a 50 mph zone.

Police say the motorcycle disregarded the traffic light that was red at U.S. 30 and Oak Drive and went south on Oak Drive at a high rate of speed. The motorcycle then disregarded the red traffic lights at Oak Drive and Pidco Drive. The motorcycle turned east on Harrison Street, finally pulling over.
The motorcycle driver was identified as Gustabo Escobar, 18, of Plymouth. Escobar was placed under arrest for resisting arrest and reckless driving.

Escobar was transported to Marshall County Jail and booked in on preliminary charges of resisting arrest and reckless driving and was also given a citation for a motorcycle learner permit violation.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
