Plymouth Police Department Responds to Calls

Officers from the Plymouth Police Department responded to calls this week that resulted in two arrests.

Officers responded to the 200 block of N. Plum for the report of a domestic dispute Monday, September 30.

Upon further investigation, police say it was determined that a battery had occurred. Sierra McGowen, 26, of Plymouth, was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on a preliminary charge of domestic battery in the presence of a minor.

On the morning of Oct. 1, at 5 a.m. ET, a Plymouth Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation on U.S. 30 and Pioneer Drive. The driver was identified as Mislaidis Alvarez-Mendez, 42, of Washington, DC. Alvarez-Mendez was found to have never been issued a drivers license and was taken into custody before being transported to the Marshall County Jail.

Formal charges will be determined in each case by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
