Plymouth Police Department officers were dispatched to the intersection of N. Oak Dr. and Markley Dr. for a report of a hit and run Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 9 a.m. ET.
The victim described a red Jeep Liberty fleeing the scene eastbound on Markley Dr. Police located a red Jeep Liberty in the parking lot of the Super 8 Motel with heavy front-end damage, according to the report.
Police say the driver, Thomas E Huntress, 56, of Warsaw, was found to be extremely intoxicated.
Huntress was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a BAC of .15 or more. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
