The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department is offering education related to the use of firearms.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department will be hosting a firearms safety course Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. ET. The course will begin with classroom training related to safety concepts, legal issues, handling, storage, carrying, and fundamentals of shooting. The class will then meet at a local firearms range to practice with certified instructors.
As in years past, this course is free. To sign up, visit the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department’s website, sheriffmarshallcounty.org, and click on the Firearms Safety Course Registration under Community Information Links.
Further instructions will be sent out to those who register. If there are any questions, contact Sergeant Ryan Hollopeter at 574-936-3187 ext. 237. The deadline to sign up for this course is Sunday, Oct. 27.
