On Thursday, Aug. 29 at approximately 12:30 a.m., Marshall County Officer Wozniak initiated a traffic stop in the area of US 31 and 18th Road for an equipment violation.
During the investigation, the odor of marijuana was detected and a probable cause search of the vehicle was completed. The officer located a large amount of suspected marijuana during the vehicle search.
The driver, Ryan M. Aschenbener, 33, and a passenger, Cory M. Salas, 41, both of the Indianapolis area, were taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail. They were both booked and processed for possession of marijuana.
Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
