Marshall County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call from a motorist stating they believed the driver of a vehicle heading southbound on U.S. 31 was impaired.
Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies were able to catch up to the vehicle and make a traffic stop based on their observations, according to the report. After an investigation, Marshall County deputies believed the driver, Tyler Byerline, to have operated while impaired and placed the driver into custody.
The driver was taken for a certified test and processed into the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of operating while intoxicated.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
