Operating while intoxicated

Marshall County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call from a motorist stating they believed the driver of a vehicle heading southbound on U.S. 31 was impaired.


Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies were able to catch up to the vehicle and make a traffic stop based on their observations, according to the report. After ​an investigation, Marshall County ​deputies believed the driver, Tyler Byerline, to have operated while impaired and placed the driver into custody.


The driver was taken for a certified test and processed into the Marshall County ​Jail on a preliminary charge of operating while intoxicated.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
