Two Arrested after Traffic Stop

Officers with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop Tuesday, August 13 at 7:42 p.m. ET for driving 72 mph in a 50-mph zone.

Officers reportedly detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver was identified as Mario Costilla, 28, of South Bend. The passenger was identified as Tiffany Dobrzynski, 34, of South Bend.

During the investigation of the traffic stop, police say it was determined that Costilla had a state warrant in Sandusky, Ohio and he had been drinking. A warrant was signed for a blood draw from Costilla, and certified test results showed Costilla’s blood alcohol content was .092, according to the report.

There was also marijuana found in the vehicle and police say Dobrzynski said the marijuana was hers.

Dobrzynski was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

Costilla was arrested for his warrant and preliminary charges of operating while intoxicated and operating while intoxicated endangerment.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
