Plymouth Police Department officers working on an operation pullover (DUI) Sunday, August 18 at 12:34 a.m. ET were dispatched to a traffic stop at U.S. 30 and U.S. 31, where Marshall County deputies had stopped a vehicle for traffic violations.
When the Plymouth officer arrived the driver was identified as Luis Tlahuetl Martin, 43, of Aurora, Illinois. The Marshall County officer had found that the driver had been drinking, according to the report.
Tiahuetl Martin was given field sobriety tests and allegedly refused a certified test, and a warrant was obtained to draw his blood. Police say the certified blood alcohol test results came back showing that he had a .218 blood alcohol content.
He was taken to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked for operating a vehicle while intoxicated above .15, operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangerment, and operator never licensed.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
