Plymouth Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 30 near Pioneer Drive Monday, August 12 at 8:20 p.m. ET for a speeding and registration violation.
The driver was identified as 60-year-old Enrique Rodriguez-Vargas, of Elkhart. Rodriguez-Vargas was found to have a suspended-infraction identification card and had never been issued a driver’s license.
The vehicle was registered to him and also suspended.
Rodriguez-Vargas was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of misdemeanor operator never licensed and operating a vehicle with a suspended registration.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
