Plymouth Police Department officers made a traffic stop on a brown Nissan Altima with expired license plates Wednesday, August 21 at 7:15 p.m. ET.
Police say the juvenile driver of the vehicle was found to have a stolen firearm. The firearm was reported stolen out of Michigan in June 2024, according to the report.
The juvenile was transported to the Elkhart Juvenile Detention Center where he was housed for theft of a firearm and minor in possession of a firearm.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
