Officers with the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to the area of North Oak Drive and Jefferson Street Friday, August 2 at 7:10 p.m. ET for a vehicle that hit a pole.
Officers were advised that the vehicle struck the Dairy Queen sign pulling into the parking lot off North Oak Drive.
The driver was later identified as Lois Yanez, 67, of Plymouth. It was found that Yanez had been drinking and had never had a driver’s license. Yanez was taken for a certified blood draw, where her blood alcohol content was a .220, according to the report.
She was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on preliminary charges of operating while intoxicated above.15, operating while intoxicated endangerment, and operator never licensed.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
