Operating while Intoxicated

A Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputy located a vehicle that was called in by another driver due to poor driving behavior Tuesday, August 20 just before 1 a.m. ET.


Officers stopped the vehicle,​ a yellow 2019 Jeep, at King Road and U.S. 30 for alleged traffic violations. The driver,​ Victorino Ariza Castillo, 42, of South Bend, appeared intoxicated, according to the report. Police say Castillo was given field sobriety tests and submitted to a certified breath test.


Castillo reportedly gave a breath sample of .156%. He was then charged and booked into the Marshall County Jail for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. His vehicle was impounded.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
