A Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputy located a vehicle that was called in by another driver due to poor driving behavior Tuesday, August 20 just before 1 a.m. ET.
Officers stopped the vehicle, a yellow 2019 Jeep, at King Road and U.S. 30 for alleged traffic violations. The driver, Victorino Ariza Castillo, 42, of South Bend, appeared intoxicated, according to the report. Police say Castillo was given field sobriety tests and submitted to a certified breath test.
Castillo reportedly gave a breath sample of .156%. He was then charged and booked into the Marshall County Jail for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. His vehicle was impounded.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
