Plymouth Police Department officers were dispatched to the Red Rock Inn, 2550 N. Michigan Street Friday, August 2 at 12:10 a.m. ET for an altercation taking place in the parking lot.
Upon arrival, police officers interviewed those involved and witnesses. It was found that the 911 caller, who was identified as Timothy Lester, 34, of Plymouth, allegedly made false statements and reports of the incident after pulling a loaded firearm and pointing it at a second person involved in the verbal altercation.
After transporting Lester to the Marshall County Jail, police say Indiana identification cards belonging to other people were located on Lester’s person. It was found that Lester had stolen the Indiana-issued identification cards from the mail, according to the report.
Lester was lodged pending criminal charges for felony pointing a loaded firearm, misdemeanor, false reporting, and theft.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
