Plymouth Police Department officers reportedly determined that Alixon Ramirez Ruiz, 26, of Plymouth was involved in a property damage accident near the intersection of Hoham and Michigan Streets Sunday, July 28.
He then fled the scene and crashed again into a fire hydrant at North and Michigan Streets.
Ruiz was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for treatment and a chemical test. Suspected cocaine was located on his person and marijuana products were also located in his car, according to the report.
Police say Ruiz tested almost three times the legal limit for alcohol. He was cleared by the hospital and transported to the Marshall County Jail for incarceration.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
