Plymouth Police Department officers were dispatched to 1002 W. Monroe Street Monday, August 5 at 2:20 a.m. ET for a disturbance.
It was reported to officers that a man inside the residence, Douglas R. Moya Diaz, 35, had fired rounds from a handgun while inside the garage, pointed a loaded firearm at the homeowner, and fired more rounds outside the residence, according to the report. Police say a firearm and spent casings were located at the scene.
Moya Diaz was transported to the hospital, cleared, and then transported to the Marshall County Jail. He was booked on preliminary charges of felony intimidation, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, and pointing a loaded firearm.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
