Public Intoxication Arrest

Plymouth Police Department officers were dispatched to the Economy Inn about an alleged intoxicated person attempting to ride away on a moped Friday, July 19 at 6:45 p.m. ET.

Upon arrival, officers located James Stout, 50, of Plymouth, standing next to a moped in the motel parking lot. The owners of the motel stated that Stout did not have a room and that they did not want him on the property, according to the report.

Stout appeared to be very intoxicated and was not able to provide information on a place to stay. Stout was transported to the hospital for jail clearance and then transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked on a preliminary charge of public intoxication.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
