Public Intoxication Arrest

Plymouth Police and Plymouth EMS were dispatched to Walmart Saturday, July 6 just before 11 p.m. ET for a man having a seizure.

Upon arrival, Travis Prater was located near the front of the store. Prater was alert and speaking with officers prior to the medics arriving. A bottle with an unknown liquid was found on his person.
Prater allegedly admitted that the bottle contained a mixture of cough syrup and Sprite. Police say Prater admitted to officers and EMS that the bottle he had with him was the third mixed bottle he had consumed that evening.

Walmart employees reportedly told police that Prater had been in and out of the store for several hours. Police believe that Prater had stolen the Sprite and cough medicine from the store.

He was placed under arrest and lodged at Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of public intoxication and theft.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
