A Marshall County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Deputy conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in the area of US 31 and Tyler Road Thursday, July 18 around 7:30 p.m. ET which led to two arrests.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 41-year-old Christopher Joo. The front-seat passenger was identified as 39-year-old Elisha Kline. During the traffic stop, a firearm, suspected methamphetamine, and synthetic urine were located in the vehicle.
Joo and Kline were transported to the Marshall County Jail. Joo was booked on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine less than 5 grams when an enhancing circumstance applies as a level 5 felony and possession of synthetic urine with the intent to defraud a drug/urine test as a class B misdemeanor.
Kline was booked on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine less than 5 grams when an enhancing circumstance applies as a level 5 felony.
Formal charges will be determined by the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
