Plymouth Police Department Makes Arrests during Traffic Stops

Officers from the Plymouth Police Department made several arrests during recent traffic stops.

A Plymouth Police Officer identified a speeding vehicle south on Michigan before turning west onto Harrison Street at 5 a.m. Saturday, July 20.


The same vehicle was then observed traveling west on Harrison Street without headlights before turning down an alleyway that parallels Plum Street, south of Harrison Street, according to the report.


A traffic stop was initiated in the alleyway and contact was made with the driver, 23-year-old Jose Guerrero, of Plymouth.


Guerrero was suspected of being intoxicated and after an investigation, he was taken into custody and booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated-over .15, and operating while intoxicated-endangering.

In a separate incident, a Plymouth Police officer initiated a traffic stop for multiple moving violations in the area of Third and Washington Street Sunday, July 21 at 2 a.m. ET.


The driver was identified as 18-year-old Daisy Allen, of Plymouth, and the passenger as 18-year-old Raelyn Sampson, also from Plymouth.


During the investigation, alleged signs of impairment were identified in both the driver and passenger. Sampson was taken into custody for illegal consumption while Allen was taken into custody for operating a vehicle while intoxicated-endangerment, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated-over .08. Both were lodged at the Marshall County Jail.

Formal charges will be determined in each case by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
