Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety Hears Updates on Streets and Roads

Street Department Superintendent Jimmy Marquardt updated the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety (BPWS) on streets and roads.

Marquardt informed the board that Rieth-Riley Construction is tentatively scheduled to start the Community Crossings street and sidewalk projects on August 9, 2024. If weather permits they expect to complete work by September 14, 2024. That work includes portions of Garro St., Fourth St., Washington St., Bayless St., Miner St, Clinton St., and Monroe St.

Marquardt informed the board and public that Hoham Drive is expected to be complete by the end of July or a few days after. The project was delayed when NIPSCO installed a gas line at the wrong level.

Mayor Robert Listenberger spoke with the Director of the Plymouth Public Library and R. Yoder Construction regarding the road closure on Center St. and completion of the project. Center St. northbound has been closed for over a year; it is expected to be open by Friday, July 26.
