Operating while Intoxicated

Plymouth Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of Pierce Street Wednesday, July 17 at 2:25 a.m. ET for the report of a verbal argument.

Officers were made aware the man allegedly involved was nearby in a vehicle. While officers were on the way to the scene they were advised the vehicle had left the residence and the male driver was intoxicated, according to the report.

Officers were able to locate the vehicle driving in the area of Lake Avenue and Sycamore Street. Police say officers determined Cesar Chavez Rangel, 33, of Plymouth, was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

Chavez Rangel was transported and lodged into the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of operating while intoxicated over .15%.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
