CEO of the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation Greg Hildebrand made a presentation to the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission during their recent meeting on his office’s activities saying that there had been $170 million in capital investment in the county that had a $20 million effect on payrolls.
He said that he anticipated $34 million more in capital projects in the coming year saying that in some cases interest rates were holding up projects as the companies waited for them to come down.
Additionally, City Attorney Jeff Houin said challenges with financing for the Water Street Town Homes project have been encountered but noted that the contractor was hoping to begin work in September.
