Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called to the Gatewood Mobile Home Park in LaPaz about a disturbance Wednesday, July 17 at 10:32 p.m. ET. Officers had been called there earlier involving the same men in an alleged verbal argument.
Armando Castillo, 26, was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery to the other man. Castillo allegedly resisted law enforcement and was intoxicated. He also had a warrant out of Marshall County for failure to appear.
A woman involved, identified as Alexis Barger, 26, gave officers false information about Castillo, due to a warrant for his arrest. She was also arrested on a preliminary charge of assisting a criminal.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
