Public Intoxication Arrest

Plymouth Police Department officers were advised of a possible intoxicated man trying to put fuel into a vehicle and that he smelled like alcoholic beverages and was staggering Sunday, June 2 just after 7:30 a.m. ET.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Gary Mauricio Alvarez Cepedes, was allegedly intoxicated and tested .302 on the portable breath test. Police say he also did not have a driver’s license and the Illinois vehicle registration was suspended along with the vehicle owner which was not the driver.

Since he was not seen operating the vehicle and was outside of the vehicle during the interview, he was lodged at the Marshall County Jail for public intoxication once jail clearance was obtained from the hospital due to his alcohol level.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
