Plymouth Police Department officers responded to the 100 block of N. Liberty Street Friday, June 21 at 11:30 p.m. ET after a caller observed a female walking with a large bleeding cut to her forehead. The victim was transported to the hospital for her injuries.
Officers determined the cause of the injuries were from an alleged physical/domestic altercation and attempted to locate the second person involved who was identified as 41-year-old Kelly Cowger Jr, of Plymouth.
He was later located on the morning of June 22 and taken into custody before being transported to the Marshall County Jail on preliminary felony charges of domestic battery, strangulation, and misdemeanor intimidation.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
