A driver was arrested after deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a possibly impaired driver traveling east on State Road 17 from the area of Sycamore Road at 8 a.m. ET Thursday, June 13.
The suspect vehicle was later located and a traffic stop was conducted on Pioneer Drive south of Lincoln Highway for several traffic infractions. During the stop, police say impairment was detected and an OWI investigation was conducted.
As a result of the investigation, Dazha R. Oakley, 26, of Plymouth, was arrested and lodged in the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
All suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
