The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to an accident Tuesday, May 7 just before 11 p.m. ET in the area of U.S. 30 and Hawthorn Road.
Officers were able to locate the vehicle in the median of U.S. 30 near Hawthorn Road. While conducting the investigation of the crash, it was determined the driver, Tyler Wolfe, 26, of Warsaw, was reportedly impaired. He was transported to the Plymouth hospital where he received a certified chemical test and clearance.
Police say the results from the test indicated that Wolfe was operating his vehicle over twice the legal limit.
Wolfe was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15 or more.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
