Plymouth Common Council Hears Update on One Marshall County and Comprehensive Plan

The Plymouth Common Council heard an update from City Attorney Jeff Houin on ONE Marshall County (OMC) and the Plymouth Comprehensive Plan during their regular meeting on Monday, May 13.

OMC had a meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 15. Those meetings are not subject to Open Door, media does not attend. Houin confirmed to the council that more updates will be available after that meeting.

Houin reminded the Council that OMC is the new name for the Stellar Committee formerly known as Crossroads. One of the Stellar Projects was Riverside Commons, Kevin Berger’s Development on Baker Street. The ribbon cutting for that project was held Thursday morning at 10 a.m. ET which is part of a multi-site project which includes a development in La Paz – that ribbon cutting was held at noon. Riverside Commons features a combination of townhouses and apartments.

Additionally, Houin presented a first draft of a visual tracking system and reminder for the progress on the Comprehensive Plan. As the advisory committee continues to meet regularly, electronic versions will be reviewed in addition to printed pages of the plan posted as a reminder of goals. The subcommittees continue to meet regularly.

Mallory McGee started in the Mayor’s Office – her primary duty will be coordinating the effort of the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee.
