Plymouth Police initiated a traffic stop Friday, May 24 on a vehicle in the area of Gibson and Dickson Street, after the driver drove past the officer who knew that she had no driver’s license.
The officer knew the driver did not have a license due to having arrested her weeks prior for driving without a license, according to the report.
The driver of the vehicle was Karen Turcios-Martinez, 31, of Plymouth. She was taken into custody on a preliminary charge of never obtaining a driver’s license, with a prior conviction, and transported to the Marshall County Jail.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
