Emergency personnel were called to the scene of an accident in the area of U.S. 6 and King Road Monday, May 13 at 5:11 a.m. ET.
Bremen Dispatch received a call regarding a vehicle that had driven off the road. Police say the driver, Gary Hodge, of Akron, was traveling west on U.S. 6 in a 2024 Kenworth Flatbed Truck when he suffered a medical emergency which caused him to leave the roadway.
Responders on the scene attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful. Hodge was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the report.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Bremen Police Department, Bremen EMS and Fire Department, and Reichert & Knepp Towing.
