A LaPaz man was arrested Saturday, April 6 after the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to an accident where witnesses advised a vehicle hit a utility pole and one subject was seen leaving the scene on foot.
While responding to the area of the accident, a deputy located the male subject walking. Upon the deputy’s investigation, police say the man was suspected of providing false identifying information that hindered law enforcement’s investigation.
The man was eventually identified as 32-year-old Skyler Daniels. Daniels was found to have active warrants through Marshall County and Fulton County. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of false informing and his active warrants.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
