The Plymouth Community School Board accepted bids for the planned Career Innovations Center at Plymouth High School.
The board was informed at their meeting last month that Brown and Brown submitted a low bid for the project at just over $3 million and the board made the award official at their meeting Tuesday, April 2.
The project will include the renovation of parts of Plymouth High School to enhance the space for culinary arts instruction along with the current service center to the precision machining area.
The Northern Indiana Regional Development Authority awarded $1.75 million of READI Funding for the project along with a $600,000 grant from the city of Plymouth and a $1.5 million grant from Marshall County.
Gibson-Lewis LLC was the other bidder on the project at just under $3.2 million.
The board also awarded a bid for repaving the parking lots and area around Washington Discovery Academy.
Milestone Contractors submitted the low bid of $979,100, with Niblock Excavating at $986,000 and Rieth Riley at just over $1 million.
Plymouth Schools Director of Facilities Dave Schoof recommended acceptance of the low bid by Milestone.
