One Person Injured in Marshall County Accident

One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of U.S. 31 and State Road 10 in Argos Wednesday, March 20 at 12:25 p.m. ET.

Police say emergency responders were called to a semi-tractor trailer and passenger car accident at that intersection. Dispatchers advised those responding that the driver of the passenger car was entrapped and could not get out of the vehicle.

Officers were able to determine that the westbound 2022 Toyota Corolla, driven by 85-year-old Barbara Kamrow, of Hawaii, failed to yield to northbound traffic, according to the report.
Police say a northbound 2021 Peterbilt semi-tractor-trailer, driven by 50-year-old Stephen Smith, of Wisconsin, was unable to avoid the collision with the Toyota.

The driver of the passenger car was flown by MedFlight with several injuries, but was in stable condition. The driver of the semi-tractor trailer stated he was not injured at the scene.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene along with the Argos Police Department, Argos EMS, Argos Fire Department, Tri-County Ambulance Service and MedFlight.
