
Officers from the Plymouth Police Department responded to Walmart after receiving a report of a possibly impaired man in the store Thursday, February 22 at 7:20 p.m. ET.
Officers located Douglas S. Howard, 34, of Plymouth, who was with a juvenile. Officers were able to determine that Howard had driven the juvenile to the store. He was detained and transported to the hospital where a search warrant for his blood was executed.
Howard was taken into custody and is facing preliminary charges of operating while intoxicated endangering a passenger less than 18, operating a vehicle on a controlled substance, driving while suspended, and public intoxication.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
