The Plymouth Community School Board held a public hearing on Superintendent Mitch Mawhorter’s contract at their previous meeting in January and approved that contract during their regular meeting Tuesday, February 6.
The new contract will give Mawhorter $120,000 in salary for the year, an annuity of $7,200. It includes an annual contribution to the group health, dental, and vision insurance premium of $23,285, along with a gasoline allowance of $3,500 and a phone allowance of $600.
Mawhorter will also have 12 sick days and 20 vacation days in addition to the holiday breaks allowed for staff members in the school year.
The Superintendent’s contract is a 365-day contract that includes working days during the normal “summer break” in the school year.
All numbers in the contract are posted on the school’s website and that link is available here.
The contract will provide a raise for Mawhorter which will be his first salary increase since taking over the job in September of 2021.
