During the regular meeting held in January, Bourbon Police Department (BPD) Chief Bill Martin updated the Bourbon Town Council with his monthly report.
The BPD Activity Report for December 2023 included three accidents reported, 17 uniform traffic tickets, zero ordinance tickets, 26 school patrols, 28 written warnings, 59 verbal warnings, one vehicle identification checks, 53 traffic details including radar checks, five motorist assists, four attempts to locate and 18 foot patrols.
The BPD Criminal Activity Report for December 2023 included zero felony arrests, two misdemeanor arrests, six case reports assigned, and one alarm. There were 672 daily log entries.
The BPD Administrative and General Report included 126 office details, zero firearms applications, one records check / processing, six general complaints, 13 requests for service, 113 security checks, 37 public contacts, 36 assists to other agencies, four animal complaints, two notices served, two doors or windows found open, two family disturbance complaints, six suspicious persons or vehicles, and five calls to 9-1-1.
Miles traveled on patrol and other duties for Chief Martin were 315 miles and zero arrests.
The grand total for the BPD including Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, reserves and part time officers for the month of December was 2,686 miles and 19 arrests.
