Plymouth Police Department officers were dispatched to U.S. 30 for a vehicle that was traveling west from Apple Road and driving the wrong way at a high rate of speed Saturday, November 25 just before 9:30 a.m. ET.
Officers reportedly clocked the vehicle on radar at 114 mph.
Police say the driver, identified as Kory Byrd, 25, of South Bend refused to pull over when officers were behind him with lights and sirens.
Byrd eventually pulled over at U.S. 30 and Oak Drive and was arrested on preliminary charges of reckless driving, resisting arrest by vehicle and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
