On Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 3:34 p.m., Marshall County Central Dispatch was advised of a two-vehicle collision between a passenger car and a semi-tractor trailer at US 31 and SR 110.
The passenger car was a 2013 Chevy Cruze being driven by Phyllis Schoonover, 95, of Culver. The Semi-Tractor Trailer was a 2020 Volvo being driven by Mark Baker, 54, of Anderson.
Police say it was determined through investigation that the driver of the Chevy Cruze failed to yield as she traveled west, through the intersection to southbound traffic.
The collision resulted in the death of Schoonover, according to the report.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by several agencies including Argos Police Department, Argos Fire Department, Argos EMS, Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, Rochester Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, Marshall County Coroner’s Office, and Reichert & Knepp Towing.
