The Marshall County Commissioners have terminated the countywide burn ban, effective immediately.
On Wednesday, Nov. 15, the Commissioners put the Burn Ban in place due to an increase in grass and field fires across the county and the ongoing weather conditions. Thanks to the recent rainfall and decreased wind speeds, safer burning conditions have returned.
Regardless of the present weather conditions or burn ban status, please exercise caution any time you conduct outdoor burning. Additionally, be courteous to neighbors who are sensitive to smoke.
The Marshall County Commissioners, Marshall County Emergency Management Agency, and local fire departments are grateful to those who respected the Burn Ban and postponed their burning plans, as well as those who helped spread awareness of the Burn Ban when it was issued.
