A North Judson man was arrested Tuesday, October 10 after a traffic stop conducted by an officer with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
A Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputy witnessed a Jeep traveling 100 mph on U.S. 30 in the area of Tulip Road just before 11 p.m. ET. The officer attempted to pursue the vehicle that quickly turned north on Union Road and into a driveway to get away from the officer, according to the report.
Police say the officer was able to initiate a traffic stop and make contact with the driver, later identified as 20-year-old Robert V. Noble Jr. of North Judson. During the investigation, the officer reportedly found marijuana and open alcohol containers.
Noble was taken into custody and was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on preliminary charges of reckless driving, possession of marijuana, illegal consumption of alcohol, and minor in possession of alcohol.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
