Plymouth Police Department officers investigated a three-vehicle accident at Jefferson and Fifth Street Wednesday, October 18 just after 11 a.m. ET in Plymouth.
A Nissan Altima driven by Keidy Macias Diaz, 33 of Plymouth was traveling south on Fifth Street when police say her vehicle collided with a Ford F-250 driven by Joseph DeWitt, 43, of Plymouth that was traveling east on Jefferson Street. The collision caused DeWitt to collide with an F-150, driven by Richard Mitschelen, 34, of Niles that was traveling west on Jefferson Street.
Diaz said that she stopped at the stop sign and thought it was clear before proceeding, according to the report. She was taken by Plymouth EMS to St. Joe Hospital. Both her vehicle and DeWitt’s vehicle were towed from the scene.
A report will be forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office for review of charges against Diaz for operator never licensed.
