Plymouth Police Department investigated several recent calls which resulted in arrests.
Emergency services were called to the Economy Inn on North Michigan Street Friday, September 22 shortly before 1 p.m. ET in Plymouth for a woman who had reportedly collapsed and was possibly not breathing. The woman was ultimately transported to the hospital.
During the investigation, Plymouth officers reportedly discovered uncapped syringes, some still containing a dark liquid substance. It was also discovered that Christopher A. Markkula, 49, of Plymouth, and Kathryn T. Stafford, 29, of Plymouth, who were present in the room, each had outstanding warrants out of Ohio for possession of fentanyl.
Both were taken to the Marshall County Jail and held for extradition to Ohio while local charges are pending.
Meanwhile, Plymouth police conducted a traffic stop Monday, September 25 at 11:20 p.m. ET at the Speedway gas station for a vehicle with no operating tail lights. The driver, Joel D. Ramos-Gomez, 23, of Plymouth, was reportedly determined to have never obtained a valid driver’s license. He was taken to the Marshall County Jail.
In another call, Plymouth police made a traffic stop at 12:43 a.m. ET Tuesday, September 26 for multiple traffic violations. The driver of the vehicle, Faisal Ibrahim, 31, of Fort Wayne, was reportedly discovered to be operating with a false driver’s license through Wisconsin. Ibrahim was taken to the Marshall County Jail.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
