The Plymouth Common Council received the City of Plymouth 2024 Proposed Budget on first read during their regular meeting on Monday, September 11.
The total city budget is $22,889,418 with an estimated civil max levy of $8,445,198. The council did not request that City of Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer Lynn Gorski go through the budget book line by line.
Council Member Jeff Houin illustrated that the 2023 budget was $22,950,044; this year’s budget is $60,626 lower which includes the accommodation of price increases in 2024 which demonstrates that spending is under control.
Budget adoption will take place during the next regular meeting and has been advertised for Monday, September 25 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
