The Plymouth Police Department responded to West Garro Street for a noise complaint Sunday, September 17 just after 4 a.m. ET.
Police say a vehicle was seen leaving the area playing loud music. A traffic stop at 5th and Madison Street resulted in the arrest of Jose Melendez-Mayorga, 30, of Plymouth who was reportedly determined to be operating a vehicle without receiving a license. An investigation found that Melendez-Mayorga was nearly three times the legal limit of alcohol, according to the report.
He was booked into the Marshall County Jail pending criminal charges.
In a separate incident, Plymouth officers called to Walmart in Plymouth for a report of theft. Dylon Piper, 21, of Knox was arrested without incident after an investigation.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
