On Saturday at 4:55 a.m., a Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy Haygood conducted a traffic stop on 16th Road, just west of Thorn Road.
While speaking to the driver, Evan Jackson-Boys, 34, Haygood noticed potential signs of impairment. Jackson-Boys was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he received a certified breath test. The results from his test revealed he was higher than the legal limit.
He was booked in to the Marshall County Jail on charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated – Endangering.
After speaking to the passenger of the vehicle, Meagen Girard, 41, it was determined that she had a warrant out of St Joseph County.
Girard was booked in to the Marshall County Jail for a hold for St Joseph County.
Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
