Plymouth Community School Board members heard numbers for the 2024 budget at their Tuesday night meeting.
Brandon Penrod, a representative of EES Analytics, presented the board with a similar report to the one he delivered last month in the board’s budget workshop.
Penrod outlined the various funds and the budget estimates for the coming year. Penrod said that the estimates are high and will most likely be lower.
In the Rainy Day Fund, Penrod suggested $600,000 for the coming year.
In Debt Service, the corporation will pay an estimated $5.9 million. Plymouth will receive an estimated $24.3 million from the state for the Education Fund. That fund has no tax levy. Part of that money will be to offset the state mandate to provide school textbooks for free.
The Operations Fund will be $7.9 million making the total estimated budget at $38,757,031.
The time set for the budget adoption meeting will be on Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. ET during the regular Plymouth Community School Board meeting.
