Bourbon Town Council Holds Public Hearing on Plan Commission Recommendation

The Bourbon Town Council held a public hearing on Tuesday, September 12 regarding a recommendation from the Plan Commission to approve the sub-division of agricultural property.

Plan Commission Vice President Jonah Best approached the Council with the recommendation from the Plan Commission to approve splitting a parcel off the Rettinger property on 11th Road. Zoning will remain agriculture; but the property is being changed from an LLC to privately owned. The Council unanimously approved the request.

President of the Council Ward Byers signed the documentation as the position previously held by Chuck DeWitt has not yet been filled.

In other news, the Council also approved a request for a road closure on Sunday, October 8 for the United Church of Christ to have a block party from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET.  Liberty St. will be closed between Thompson St. and Main St. for those three hours.
