Bourbon Fire Department Chief Chad Stepp updated the Council that the department has had seven calls since the last meeting: two assists to Plymouth, one RV fire, one medic assist, a car accident, a gas leak and they stood on Bremen’s Station for a few hours.
Public Works Superintendent Roger Terry informed the Council that leaf pick-up will start on October 18.
Attorney Alex Hoover updated the Council that there are two initial hearings scheduled in September on two cases in Marshall County Superior Court No. 3 with Jan Lemler and Karen Holmes.
In other news, the Council also approved a request by the Marshall County Council on Aging for a $2,000 contribution for the Transit Services 2023. That was not budgeted in the Town’s budget for 2023; but the Town has supported the initiative in the past including support in 2022. Member Terry Clemens noted that there are residents in the Town of Bourbon who utilize the service.
